  • Unlike traditional facials, it’s performed via device rather than by hand, for deeper penetration and longer lasting results. The magic is in the wand, which works like a vacuum to open pores for a deep cleanse and easy extraction of impurities and dead skin cells. It also allows the active ingredients in the boosters to penetrate deeper, for the most effective treatment possible.

  • Hydration is the foundation of healthy, radiant skin. Irritation of the skin has been proven to increase signs of aging. Hydrafacial treatments are hydrating and non-irritating. 

  • Most clients see visible skin refinement and an even, radiant skin tone after just one treatment. These smooth results and hydration may last 5 to 7 days or even longer. For long-term improvement in fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and oily and congested skin, we recommend one treatment per month. To maintain consistent results, many of our Prairie Village guests utilize our Spa Series for a scheduled monthly regimen.

The Platinum (90 min) is the ultimate experience, beginning with Lymphatic Drainage to detoxify and depuff the skin before the full Deluxe process.

  • No, we recommend waiting at least 72 hours after your HydraFacial before or after receiving any facial waxing services. Because the HydraFacial deeply exfoliates the skin, waxing too soon can cause excessive irritation or sensitivity. Always inform your bijin esthetician of any recent hair removal treatments during your consultation.

  • No, there is absolutely no downtime. A Hydrafacial treatment takes as little as 30 minutes and you can return to your normal activities immediately after. To protect your fresh glow, we strongly recommend applying a professional-grade SPF, available at our Kansas City salon, following your session.

    Keep Your Face Dry
    You should not wash your face for about six hours after your treatment. You should also avoid taking a shower or engaging in intense exercise that will cause you to sweat. Keeping your face dry during this time will protect your skin and allow you to receive optimal results.

    Adjust Your Skincare Routine
    You should not use beauty products that contain glycolic acid or other ingredients that will exfoliate your skin for the next two days. Since your face will be bright and fresh after you receive your Hydrafacial, you will not need these skincare products. In addition, you should not receive a dermaplaning treatment, chemical peel, botox fillers, or microdermabrasion treatment for two weeks. However, dermaplaning can happen the same day prior to your service.

    Stay Out of the Sun
    To protect the tissue on your face, you should wear strong sunscreen for at least a week. In addition, you should avoid spending a prolonged amount of time in the sun for the next 14 days.
